BBA Brand Guidelines
Project
The British Board of Agrément required a whole new look and feel for their corporate branding. The BBA had hitherto been tied to traditional values, this had established the brand and served it well for half a century. As times change and technology moves forward it was necessary to plan a forward facing vision to embrace the ever changing demands of the construction industry in these modern times.
Brief
To communicate a fresh, modern and consistent visual language across all print and digital media.
Distribution format
The new branding for the BBA covers a wide range of materials and formats. These include: Corporate/Departmental Brochures, Application Forms, Certificates, Advertising, Video, Social Media, Collateral: including printed materials and email communication and Brand Guidelines.

The goal of any brand worth its salt is to inspire its customers. It is more than just a corporate identity. The brand represents the cornerstone of a history being made and a future being forged. The path forward for the BBA is one identified by core values that speak to a new generation of innovative and passionate minds.

BBA Corporate Brochure
Project
The new BBA corporate brochure was a great vehicle to promote the new branding and represented a break from the past. This was used as a promotional accessory at construction trade fairs and exhibitions.
Brief
This was a project that I really enjoyed getting my teeth into. I wanted to set a president with bold stimulating typography, asymmetrical structure, and to create a dynamic flowing experience as the reader engaged with the content.

Project
Each of the three business units produces its own series of ongoing case studies. These are often in depth reports on the use and efficacy of new construction related products.
Brief
All three business units have their own brand identity, but they share a common theme. This is the brand styling for the Testing facility Industry Voices case study brochure.

BBA popup stand & roller banner
Project
Five panel exhibition popup stand, accompanying, lectern and pullup banner.
Brief
Going for maximum impact here, so I needed the graphics to be bold and striking, yet orderly and clean. Again here, in order to stand out and give a positive reaction I utilised the negative space to set the frame and tone.
Distribution format
The artwork is printed directly to the popup stand panels and are fastened to a collapsable frame by magnetic fasteners.

BBA Exhibition Stand
Project
The BBA is an active participant at may nationwide construction related expos. This exhibition stand was constructed by an external company specialising in modular exhibition stand design. I based the artwork around this specific format. The space was designed to be impactful yet inviting. On display were various BBA printed literature and a video of various interviews with clients of the BBA who were successfully awarded a BBA certificate of approval.

Trig Quantity Surveyors
Project
Six page 4-colour promotional leaflet.
Brief
Trig are a quantity surveying company based in Gothenburg Sweden. They needed a promotional leaflet to help them gain more attention within the construction industry. Featured in the main spread of the brochure is an example of a project involving a floating swimming pool attached to the outside of a multi-storey hotel and exhibition centre.
I tried to present a visual narrative of precision and structure using a balance of contrast, asymmetrical juxtaposition and typographical rhythm.

Innovaform Identity Design Studio
Project
Innovaform is a design studio based in Gothenburg Sweden, primarily focused on brand identity and marketing strategies. Here I was given the opportunity to design a leaflet that was used to hand out to potential clients. The company mascot was a toy zebra (denoting identity) that was originally destined to feature in the brochure, but a slightly more sophisticated approach was eventually decided upon.

ICA Supermarket Point of Sale Brochure
Project
ICA is Swedens biggest supermarket chain with its own in-house design studio. This is an example of one of the recipe brochures that were produced on a bi-weekly basis. The designs are mostly photo centric with a focus on freshness and family core values. I worked with a food photographer for the images in each issue. It was important to stay within the style guidelines for the ICA branding, yet still try to add some charm and flair where appropriate.

ICA Supermarket Catalogue
Project
ICA is Swedens biggest supermarket chain with its own in-house design studio. This is an example of one of the meat produce catalogues. The design is focused on promoting meat produce in a favourable light. Although presenting raw meat may not be particularly inspiring, freshness and simplicity was what I was going for here. I worked once again here with a food photographer for the images in each issue. It was important to stay within the style guidelines for the ICA branding, yet still try to add some charm and flair where appropriate.

Svensk Naturenergi is a Swedish company that produces sustainable energy from wind and water.
